Communication Skills That Will Explode Your Business The key to building a connection with your lead or prospect whether you were using online or off-line marketing strategies is acquiring the skills to communicate with people how they want to be communicated with. In other words, “The Golden Rule, Do onto others as you would like others to do onto you,” needs to be replaced with Tony Allesandra's "Platinum Rule", "Do onto others, as they would have you do onto them." The four basic personality types are as follows: Reds - determined efficient decisive practical independent. Greens - analytical industrious persistent thorough and serious. Blues - Stimulating, Enthusiastic, Dramatic, Outgoing and Personable. Yellows - Supportive, Wiling, Dependable, Reliable and Agreeable. Each personality type has a fever way in which they want to be connected with that leads to building rapport and sponsoring into your primary business. Reds - get to the point be prepared, be confident and be punctual zero in on a pair of goals and what they want to achieve. They love options and give them two or three. Expert testimonials make them feel good. Greens - Slow down, take your time and build your solution step by step. Give them the time to analyze, evaluate, and provide them the space to arrive at their own conclusions. They love data, test results, supporting evidence. Show them where to get the information and ask them what they think. Blues - Get them talking. Success stories in the form of testimonials are very attractive to them especially if it makes them look good in front of their boss or their spouse.. Sprinkle in some trial closes. Get them talking on how your solution will benefit them and allow them to close themselves. Get excited and talk excited as it ventures and exciting things like scuba diving skydiving and having fun are very attractive to them. They love talking about fun things to do especially vacations and family. Yellows - provide them plenty of time to arrive at their decisions and build trust first they loved testimonials and let them know how your solution is going to affect everyone that is involved. Close them on small choices that lead up to the big decision. Yellows do not want to be sold. They do not like pushy- aggressive salespeople and have the biggest sales shields. Slow the pace, lower your volume, and contain your excitement. Yellows see excitement as hype and become uncomfortable. Instead visit with them and talk about their family, kids and how their vacation went. So be sure to communicate with your lead or prospect the way that they want to be communicated to and sponsor more leads in a week than you have ever sponsored in a month.
