Low quality products- Another common mistake that most new affiliate marketers do is promote low quality products. If you have a merchant in mind but they provide lower quality results or goods, do not use them as it will not earn you money. When a visitor clicks on a merchant link, they are looking for a good quality product not a poor one. This is where your research comes into play. You need to research the quality as well as the company to find that perfect product to advertise on your site. 3. Website that only sells- Avoid creating your website to sell only the products that you are promoting as you will not get many visitors. Instead, create a website that also informs the visitor about a certain topic or idea. The more creative your topic or idea the more traffic you will generate. Try and avoid using too many links in your site as well as this will overburden your visitor. Great website content is the key to earning your revenue as it will generate a lot more visitors to your site to click those links. 4. Selling too many- When you are new to the affiliate marketing program, you do not want to sell too many sites/products too early. This will only cause your site to fail and you to burn out. Instead try promoting two, maybe three, but no more than three merchants at a time. As your traffic increases you can add more merchants, but do not go overboard. 5. Lie DO NOT EVER LIE to your visitors because it will backfire on you. Do not promote a product you would not buy yourself with a rave review because then you would be lying to your visitors. Be honest with your readers and they will respect you more and return to your site over and over again. 6. Don't Ever Give Up- A lot of affiliate marketers, especially the newer ones, give up too early. They find themselves not earning a profit right away and get discouraged. Just like in real life, making money (lots of it) takes a lot of time and effort. It can take months to begin showing a profit but if you give up you will miss out. These are just a few of the mistakes to avoid when you are creating your affiliate marketing site. Learning how to avoid these mistakes is the key to a great revenue making system. Affiliate marketing can create tons of cash for you if it is done correctly.
