Affiliate Marketing is blowing up in popularity as the hot new way to make money on the internet. There are tons of reasons why it's becoming so popular, but mostly because it enables people to work from home for some extra cash or even a full time income if they dedicate enough time to it. Even though there are a lot of people out there talking about how difficult it can be, it doesn't have to be if you know where to start! Let me introduce you into the world of affiliate marketing and show you that it can be simple and maybe even a bit fun if
you're into that sort of computer nerdy type thing.
So the term affiliate marketing probably sounds pretty big and bad at first, but have no fear, it is generally used pretty loosely to mean tons of different things. Broken down to its core, all it really is, is the act of selling another company's products for some type of commission, almost always cash. Not too shabby, eh?
The natural progression of things usually leads to people asking how they're supposed to sell this stuff. Valid question, but first let's take a look at what we're going to sell instead of how we're going to sell it just yet. Better yet, where do we look to find these "affiliate programs"? All joking aside, there are probably millions of affiliate programs out there for every different niche you could think of. Ebay? Yep. Amazon? Of course. Larry's Lifesize Ant Farms? For sure. Here let's test it out, go check out your favorite online retailer right now, and look at the bottom of the page for a link that will usually be called "affiliates". Here's where the good part starts, you will now be presented with the rules and terms of the program, so make sure you read through carefully. But the most important part is finding out what kind of percentage or commission you make from each sale. There are websites with very good rates, and some with very bad rates, so it pays to do your homework before signing on that dotted line.
So we've got our product, great! Now the fun begins, we get to let the world know why they need this product in their life. What you do now is write up a great article telling people why they should make this purchase. This is where your writing skills really need to shine, because it will help you earn that much more cash. What happens now is that you need to go to Google and type in "article directory". These are where people submit articles on most every topic, which you should also do now. The more you submit your article to, the more money you can potentially make. More never hurts when it comes to article submitting. Each directory should have a resource box for each article you submit, always remember to add your affiliate link in here.
