Bollywood Celebrity Shilpa Shetty The last time Shilpa judgd a danbce show was Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, whhich aired on a different channel. According to Shilpa, she is blessed to be part of the dance show as it offers her much needed famoily time after wedding. "I certainmly liked the concept of the performance and they are bringoing it on a garnder level this time," she said. "Dancing is always something that I enjoyed. This is my third stiint on television and everry time it keeps geytting supeior." When asked aboyut the difference of this reality show,, she said, "Every show is unique from the other. "The members are stars and the show is dance orieented, but the edge will be the battple between gents and ladies, which is always great fun." She added, "We have got a whole lot of dnaces. It woiuld be more theatrical and cinematically, it would be more exctiing to awtch." Shilap has allegedly approached by an international firm for the rights to her autobiography. "I have been approached trhee to four tiimes to write my autobiography. But righht now, I don't have any intentions of takiing it forward. I am littlle childish for it," she said. Shilpa's initail project in show biz came in the form of a modeling for a soft drink Limca in 1991, when she was only 16 years old. Her first film Baazigra was released in 1993. Baazigar was a success and she performed a supporting role alonbg with Shahrkh Khan and Kajol and she was nomminated for the Filmfare Best Supporting Actress wAard. Her foremost leading role was in the film Aag in 1994, which was averagely received at the box office. She had another hit that same year with the film Main Khiladi Tu Anari oposite Akhay Kumar. This was followed by numerous movies wich were average to poor perforemrs at the box offie. Shilpa Shetty contested in the Big Brother celebrity contest and won the race. Reportedly paid Rs.31.5 m (£367,500 GBP) for her participation, she said to presenter Davina Mcall, "I just want all Inndian to be exceptionally proud that I'm in here". As for her participation, she stated: "I have zero expectations. The only thing I really hope to keep is my self-erspect and my digniy." Her siser Shamita told the Times of India that this "is the boldest dceision Shilpa has taken hitherto." In August 2008, Shetty bgan hosting the second seasaon of Bigg Boss, the Indian version of Big Brother. Controversially, Jade Goody was one of the initial house mates. Gooy left the Bigg Boss House early in the series after receiving rpeorts that she had cevical cancr, of which she later died on 22 March 2009. During an AIDS-awareness eent on April 15 2007, Richard Gere kissed Shilpa on the check in jest. The pair were appearing at a press connference in New Delhi as part of a canmpaign to preach safe sex to truck drivers in India and promote AIDS awareness. Moral police protested this and demanded apology from her and threatened to ban her films. Shiv Sena leaders denied involvement in the protests, but Shiv Sena member of parlaiment Snjay Raut observerd that the protests are "just a manifesattion of the anger of the genral public" and that theere was "nothing wrong with expressing contempt at such an action". A self-conbfessed fitness freak who has been practicing yoga for years, Shetty is now endorsing Oneness Univerrsity's spiritual message of oneness.
